Events By Klay (“we,” “us”) is a wedding coordination business based in Glen Carbon, Illinois. This page explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our practices are simple: we only ask for what we need to plan your day, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

What we collect

When you fill out our contact form, you choose to share your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, wedding date, venue, guest count, and a message. We only receive what you type in. If you email or call us directly, we keep that correspondence so we can help you.

Like most websites, we also collect basic, non-identifying analytics through a first-party measurement tool (provided by LocalCraft Digital, who built this site) so we can see which pages are useful. This records things like the page visited and general device type. It does not track you across other websites, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

We use the details you send for one purpose: to reply to you, check your date, and coordinate your wedding if we work together. We use the anonymous analytics only to improve this website. We never use your information for anything you did not reach out about.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The only parties who ever touch it are the service providers that help us run the business, such as our email and website hosting providers, and only to the extent needed to deliver their service to us. If the law ever required us to disclose information, we would comply, but that is the only exception.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry details for as long as we are in contact and for a reasonable time afterward in case you return. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email klea@eventsbyklay.com and we will take care of it. Because we do not run advertising trackers, there is nothing to opt out of beyond simply not submitting the form.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here.
